Fablab Belfast will host a one day Solidworks workshop, in parametric modelling for machining. In this course you will be guided through the process of how you can create a model in the virtual environment and process it for manufacturing across a variety of CNC machinery. This can include 3,4 and 5 axis milling, waterjet cutting, plasma cutting, laser cutting , 3D printing and CNC lathe turning.

This course is for you if your school has any of this machinery but isn’t fully used due to lack of training or experience, or you wish to expand your skills further. This workshop will help you bring your students exam level pieces out of the screen and into your hands and will also benefit those looking to embed this learning from year 8 onwards.

The course will be delivered in Belfast’s leading digital design and manufacturing space by a qualified Technology and Design teacher with over 10 years experience of teaching and CADCAM engineering using Solidworks.
